Individualized heart failure treatment
Heart failure is a chronic disease that is very difficult to treat, which can be caused by all diseases affecting the heart. The most common cause is damage to the heart muscles and loss of function as a result of narrowing or occlusion of the coronary arteries.
Pacemaker Implantation
Pacemakers are treatments used in cases of serious deterioration or slowdown in heart rhythm, when there is a risk for life-threatening rhythm disorders (ventricular tachycardia or fibrillation etc.), and to regulate the conduction system of the heart and increase contractility of the heart.
DASH diet reduces the risk of heart failure
The incidence of heart failure is increasing in the population. We know that diet affects the risk of developing cardiovascular disease, stroke, diabetes and hypertension. The two diets recommended by the medical community are the Mediterranean diet and the DASH (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension) diet. However, it is very difficult to design and perform studies examining the effect of diet type on prognosis of diseases. Patients need to be followed for decades in order for the diet type to cause (statistically) significant benefit or harm on the diseases.
